Borrego Springs Community Sponsor Group
	The thirteen members of the Borrego Springs Community Sponsor Group are appointed by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to advise them on local planning and land use matters.  The group works directly with county planners in the Department of Planning and Land Use  (DPLU) to develop guidelines for development in the Desert Sub-region of the County which includes Borrego Springs and environs. The group also reviews certain proposed projects in the region to ensure they are consistent with community objectives.  The Sponsor Group does not approve or disapprove projects.  Its job is to provide locally informed advice to county planners in the DPLU whose job it is to administer the San Diego County Zoning Ordinance that regulates all construction and land use in the Desert Sub-region.. The Borrego Community Sponsor Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce Building, 786 Palm Canyon Drive.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.  For more information, contact:
